HOME TO SCHOOL POLICY DRIVERS AND PERSONAL ASSISTANTS
1. INTRODUCTION
It is our policy at Delta Enterprises Group Limited to foster positive relationships with our clients, including local authorities, parents, students, and educational institutions. Effective communication, safety, and comfort are core values of our business.
2. THE POLICY
Below are the guidelines all employees and subcontractors must adhere to:
- No stopping enroute for fuel or any other reason without prior permission.
- No deviation from the route except to avoid heavy traffic.
- No smoking or vaping in the presence of students.
- No providing confectionery, food, or drink to students.
- No consumption of food or drink within the vehicle when students are onboard, except for water.
- No additional passengers other than those specified in the contract.
- Use designated collection/drop-off points unless instructed otherwise.
- Notify of any delays to regular transport times.
- Avoid communication with students outside of the work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
- Inform Delta Enterprises immediately in case of breakdown or accident.
- Follow protocols for drop-offs when parents/carers are not present.
- Limit waiting time when collecting students.
- Adhere to attire and identification badge requirements.
- Use mobile phones strictly for work-related purposes.
- Keep vehicles clean and follow refueling protocols.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Immediately notify Delta Enterprises of any scheduled student absences.
- Disclose any pending driving prosecutions.
- Carry and present UDC terms and conditions upon request.
3. ALWAYS CONSIDER OUR CLIENTS
Prioritize the safety and comfort of students during transportation. Adherence to the guidelines underscores the responsibility associated with the role.
4. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF OUR BUSINESS – EMPLOYED DRIVERS
- Conduct weekly vehicle checks.
- Notify Delta Enterprises of any scheduled student absences.
- Disclose any pending driving prosecutions.
- Carry and present UDC terms and conditions.
- Adhere to regulations regarding child car seats.
Appendix One – THE LAW REGARDING CHILD CAR SEATS WITHIN HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLES
- Children aged three and above must use appropriate child seats/restraints until they are either 12 years old or 135cm tall.
- If child seats are unavailable, children aged three and older can travel in the rear using seat belts.
